About Very Florida

Florida is a lot.

It’s alligators in retention ponds. Sandhill cranes stopping traffic. Seagulls monitoring your lunch. Squirrels making aggressive eye contact with your fries. Someone wearing a hoodie because it dropped below 70.

Very Florida is inspired by the wildlife, weather, neighborhoods, coastlines, roadside chaos, and everyday absurdities that make the Sunshine State what it is.

We turn those moments into original apparel and goods with a simple rule:

If you’ve lived here long enough to recognize the joke, it probably belongs on something.

Made for people who get it.

Very Florida isn’t about palm-tree clip art or generic vacation souvenirs.

It’s about the things that actually make Florida feel like Florida.

The alligator occupying the pond. The ibis working the lawn. The pelican supervising the pier. The crane holding up traffic like it pays taxes here. The beach wildlife waiting for you to look away from your food.

Each design starts with a real Florida observation and turns it into something worth wearing, sticking on a cooler, or explaining to somebody from out of state.

Cute, occasionally questionable, and usually more accurate than it has any right to be.

Florida being Florida.

Wildlife is a big part of the story, but it’s not the whole story.

Alligators become Swamp Puppies.
Sandhill cranes become Local Dinos.
Manatees become Local Mermaids.
Anoles turn yard work into a mating ritual.
And sometimes a swimming pool is simply closed until further notice.

Then there’s the heat, the weather, the traffic, the bugs, the beach chaos, and all the other little moments that make you stop and think:

Yeah. That’s very Florida.

The subject changes.

Florida being Florida does not.

The Field Guide

Some of these jokes have more truth behind them than you might expect.

The Very Florida Field Guide digs into the real animals and behaviors that inspire the artwork—from why anoles do push-ups to why sandhill cranes sound like something left over from the Cretaceous period.

A little natural history.

A little Florida nonsense.

Mostly both.

Made to be worn

Our shirts, hats, stickers, and other goods are designed to feel like something you found from a small Florida brand—not something pulled from a souvenir rack.

We keep the artwork clean, the humor dry, and the products easy to live with.

Because sometimes the best way to explain Florida is just to point at the shirt.

Welcome to Very Florida.

Wildlife. Weather. Roadside chaos. Everyday nonsense.
